Re: "the 'progressive pretty much part of the Obama machine and it's suspended a fair bit of their critical thinking.'"

Thanks Terry.

Furthermore, the "progressive infrastructure" has completely surrendered to the DP in Portland. Some of us have tried to organize a demonstration against the war criminal Madelyn Albright, who infamously stated that the killing of 500,000 Iraqi children by the Clinton Administration was "worth the price".

Albright, an inner circle advisor to Obama, will be appearing at the Bagdad Theater on the 24th to shill for her book and for DP candidates, but pdxpeace and even Code Pink Portland have refused to publicize it.

Nothing shows more contempt for the justice and peace movement than this.

Obama also falls short on educational issues which matter to me....i.e...Merit pay for teachers and charter schools...He takes pride in all the charter schools he backed in Chicago..Still, he is the lesser of two evils, so i will reluctantly cast my vote for him.

Marcia: If Mussolini were running against Hitler, would you support Mussolini or would you try to back an alternative to fascism? Is there anything that Obama might do that would cause you to say, "Enough"? This is a guy who "loves the free market", wants to increase military spending beyond the current bloated levels, threatens others regularly with military reprisals (with nuclear not off the table), wants to give Bush and Cheney a "get out of jail free card", wants nuclear and unclean coal power, wants to drill, baby, drill, wants to flaunt international law abroad and the US Constitution at home, wants to enrage Muslims and Arabs by offering unqualified support for Israeli crimes, etc.

If he says he'll open concentration camps for dissidents, will you still support him?

If we continue to support the lesser of evils, won't the evil continue to bite us in the ass?

This makes me think of a scene from The Year of Living Dangerously:
"And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
What's that?

It's from Luke, chapter three, verse ten. What then must we do?"

heck if I know
